Once you're familiar with that process, you may install this plugin with this command:\r\n\r\n```shell\r\nnpm install grunt-htmlhint --save-dev\r\n```\r\n\r\nOne the plugin has been installed, it may be enabled inside your Gruntfile with this line of JavaScript:\r\n\r\n```js\r\ngrunt.loadNpmTasks('grunt-htmlhint');\r\n```\r\n\r\n## The \"htmlhint\" task\r\n\r\n### Overview\r\nIn your project's Gruntfile, add a section named `htmlhint` to the data object passed into `grunt.initConfig()`.\r\n\r\n### Options\r\n\r\nSee all rules here: [https://github.com/yaniswang/HTMLHint/wiki/Rules](https://github.com/yaniswang/HTMLHint/wiki/Rules)\r\n\r\nIf options is empty, task will scan nothing.\r\n\r\n#### options.htmlhintrc\r\nType: `String`\r\nDefault value: `null`\r\n\r\nIf this filename is specified, options and globals defined therein will be used. Task and target options override the options within the `htmlhintrc` file. The `htmlhintrc` file must be valid JSON and looks something like this:\r\n\r\n```json\r\n{\r\n \"tag-pair\": true,\r\n}\r\n```\r\n\r\n#### options.force\r\nType: `Boolean`\r\nDefault value: `false`\r\n\r\nReport HTMLHint errors but dont fail the task\r\n\r\n### Usage Examples\r\n\r\n#### Direct options\r\n\r\n```js\r\nhtmlhint: {\r\n html1: {\r\n options: {\r\n 'tag-pair': true\r\n },\r\n src: ['path/to/**/*.html']\r\n },\r\n html2: {\r\n options: {\r\n 'tag-pair': true\r\n },\r\n src: ['path/to/**/*.html']\r\n }\r\n}\r\n```\r\n\r\n#### Config file\r\n\r\n```js\r\nhtmlhint: {\r\n options: {\r\n htmlhintrc: '.htmlhintrc'\r\n },\r\n html1: {\r\n src: ['path/to/**/*.html']\r\n },\r\n html2: {\r\n src: ['path/to/**/*.html']\r\n }\r\n}\r\n```\r\n\r\n## Release History\r\n\r\n * 2013-4-6âââv0.4.0âââFirst release", |
